My monk was named Preto Do Cross and almost every of my pvp characters have Preto in it's name, maybe it was that and the fact that I was almost falling asleep on my keyboard (had just returned home from a whole week of local party at an island next to where I live).

I have deleted a character and forgot that he still had some stuff on him (i.e. fully runed armor, some mats, and a zodiac axe.) Can't say that he was deleted on "accident" though, that's tough.

worst I've ever done is deleted a character and forgotten to clean out what the heroes had before I deleted it, lost a few items but really not a big deal.

Same, now I check every character before deleting. I also check and double-check when I delete that I've got the right character.

Personally I feel sorry for the OP, all he was trying to do was stike up conversation and a bunch of people start screaming 'beggar' at him.

You can never underestimate the ability of humans to link events together and give them some sort of cause and effect theory.
Silly humans.

What you're talking about isn't luck though.

Luck would be if all the guildies went out together to Z chest, all got draconics and celestial compasses and transmogs....and you got nothing but firewater. That would be crappy luck from hell (and it's happened to ppl here lol)

What happened to you was a mistake pure and simple. There's a stupidest thing I've ever done thread floating here somewhere this would be homelike in.

We've all done the epic dumb maneuver before..sucks but I bet you won't do that again. As my mom would've said, "THAT'LL learn you!"

on the topic, i forgot to take a Necrid Horseman mini pet off a PvP char marked for deletion, So now i have a big sign on my cork board: !DON'T DELETE PvP CHAR, HE HAS RIN RELICS!

Well said. My thoughts exactly. I honestly have no idea how you could have done that, but in answer to your question no I've never had that kind of luck. Lousy drops and minis but that's it. Never deleted a character by mistake.

*sighs at the flamers*

Yeah.

Anywho, I haven't deleted a character by mistake, but I regretted deleting certain characters after I've done it. :-/

As for luck, I do get poor luck sometimes, especially at chests. My teammates get something good, retain their lockpicks, and I end up with a Grape with a broken lockpick.

Except for this evening: My guildie was mentioning something about tomes, and she opened the chest. She got a grape. It was my turn to use the chest, and not only did I retain my lockpick, but I also got me an Elite Assassin Tome. I just had to crack up laughing at that.

We need more luck like this.

It can happen if you are in hurry and having mind elsewhere (As in, thinking about reason why you are deleting character and thinking about creating new one already - It can happen when you are remaking survivors or when rerolling pvp char. Especially if you are self-trained to type your character name in empty box without thinking twice because of faction donations.)
